2008 Abeking & Rasmussen Eminence

The Eminence was blessed with good fortune from the very beginning. Her owner and Abeking & Rasmussen had worked successfully on a previous project together and so brought in a wealth of experience and knowledge in planning, development and construction. Only this time everything was to be bigger, more comfortable, more attractive and more innovative. These high expectations were able to be fulfilled to such an extent thanks to the amicable collaboration on both sides. This can be seen in the yacht’s sheer size, the streamlined exterior design, rounded off with a mast in the shape of a whale’s tail.

The interior, best summed up in the words of its designer Andrew Langton, is defined by a ‘flair for opulence’. It mirrors the yacht’s exclusivity and finesse. In this way, through a creative team effort a sort of a new, modern form of Art Deco has emerged as seen in its luxuriant, playful but also focused and intense elements, such as the eclectic mix of materials like ebony, steel and leather. Big solutions for big surfaces: the 6 spacious and exceptional VIP cabins, the owner’s ‘front view bedroom’ overlooking the forward deck or the 5 decks with an enormous whirlpool on the top most. A splendidly accomplished yacht.
