Boat Description
Albemarle 36 Express: Carolina-Tough Sportfisher
1. General Information
The Albemarle 36 Express is an 11.79 m twin-diesel sportfishing boat designed to be rugged enough for the toughest seas yet nimble enough for a crew of two. Built from owner and dealer feedback, it pairs a smooth, dry ride with the refined Albemarle style. It suits tournament anglers and charter captains who also want a comfortable cabin for week-long trips.
2. Construction and Design
The 16-degree deadrise hull is moulded, hand-laid fibreglass with vinylester resin and a fibreglass-encapsulated stringer system, with deep gunwales and a centreline helm pod giving 360-degree visibility. Twin 600 hp diesels (Cummins or Volvo) drive bronze-strutted shafts, with electronic power steering, a 9 kW generator and a fully insulated engine room.
3. Key Features
Fishing deck: a 9.7 m² cockpit with transom and cockpit fishboxes and a livewell.
Range: 2,025 L of fuel and a 360 L freshwater tank.
Living quarters: well-appointed galley, four berths (five optional) and a hot water heater.
Tower options: available as a full tower, half tower or hardtop edition.
4. Summary
The Albemarle 36 Express is a proven sportfisherman that balances serious tournament capability with a genuinely liveable cabin. It is a strong option for crews who fish hard and cruise comfortably.
