Boat Description
Aquila 46 Coupe: Sport-Boat Thrills, Yacht-Class Comfort
1. General Information
The Aquila 46 Coupe is a bold, versatile power catamaran that refuses to choose between the excitement of a sport boat and the comfort of a cruising yacht. Measuring 14.44 m overall with a broad 5.46 m beam, this award-winning coupe, winner of the 2025 Yacht Style Awards power catamaran under 15 m category and a nominee for European Powerboat of the Year 2026, offers an exceptionally stable and spacious platform for up to 32 guests in sheltered waters. It is built for owners who want fast, smooth day runs, sunset entertaining and comfortable weekends aboard.
Life aboard flows across a single-level deck plan. The salon features L-shaped seating with an electric table that drops flush with the floor, a galley with Corian worktops, a 130 L fridge-freezer and microwave, and a flip-up bar window linking the interior with the cockpit. Each hull houses a private double cabin with an en-suite head and walk-in shower, while a sheltered bow lounge and two convertible aft sun loungers create further social zones. With 2,334 L of fuel, the 46 Coupe has genuine range for coastal cruising and island hopping.
2. Construction and Design
Aquila builds the 46 Coupe with resin-infused vinylester throughout the hull, deck, bulkheads and reinforcement, PVC cores of varying density and an NPG gelcoat finish, with no plywood in structural components or below the waterline. Watertight bulkheads fore and aft add safety, while the double-stepped twin hulls work with the carbon fibre Aquila Hydro Glide® semi-foiling system to raise efficiency, soften the ride and extend range.
The design puts light, views and easy living first. Large tempered glass windows give near 360-degree visibility from the salon, hull-side windows with opening portlights brighten both cabins, and an electrically opening fibreglass sunroof lets the boat switch from open-air to fully enclosed in moments. Laminate cabinetry with solid wood capping, upholstered ceilings, LED accent lighting, memory-foam mattresses and a multi-zone Fusion sound system create a refined, contemporary atmosphere.
3. Key Features
Aquila Hydro Glide® foil system: The carbon fibre semi-foiling system works with the double-stepped hulls to improve fuel efficiency, comfort and range at speed.
Choice of propulsion: Standard twin Mercury Verado V12 600 hp outboards with joystick piloting, or optional twin Volvo Penta D6 480 hp DPI sterndrive diesels.
Two en-suite double cabins: A master and a VIP cabin, one in each hull, each with a vanity, fresh-water electric toilet and walk-in shower.
Open-air to enclosed in seconds: The electric sunroof, sliding aft door and flip-up bar window let the 46 Coupe adapt instantly to sun, wind or rain.
Easy boarding and smart systems: Port and starboard cockpit gates, C-Zone digital switching and a 24 V electric windlass make docking and daily handling straightforward.
4. Summary
The Aquila 46 Coupe is made for couples, families and friends who want a fast, stable and stylish power catamaran for day trips, waterfront dining and relaxed weekend getaways. It suits experienced owners stepping up from a sports cruiser or express monohull, and buyers who value twin-hull stability, efficient foil-assisted performance and two private en-suite cabins in a package that remains easy to handle, berth and enjoy.
