The Aviara AV40 is the largest and most ambitious model from Aviara, the luxury day-boat brand of MasterCraft Boat Holdings. Unveiled at the 2020 Miami International Boat Show as the brand's third model in its first year, this 12.88 m, yacht-certified bowrider blends a bold, angular profile with the comfort and amenities of a small yacht.

It is designed for owners who host large groups and want the option to stay aboard. Guests spread out across three social zones at the bow, cockpit and transom, and at the push of a button the side terraces fold out to open up the deck. Below, the cabin sleeps four, with a forward berth, a mid-cabin double and a private head with shower. With 1,351 L of fuel, 201 L of fresh water, a 121 L holding tank and CE Category B certification, the AV40 is ready for long coastal days and weekends away.

2. Construction and Design

The fibreglass (GRP) deep-vee hull carries 19° of deadrise at the transom and a 3.73 m beam, delivering a confident, stable ride and a spacious deck. An integrated hardtop with a power sunroof shelters the helm and cockpit, while non-slip SeaDek flooring and teak-style finishes give the deck a warm, contemporary look.

Inside, the cabin is reached through a door beside the helm and is finished as a genuine retreat, with air conditioning, a large TV and a fridge available. Premium Klipsch audio, refined upholstery and colour-coordinated details run throughout, underlining the brand's focus on design-led comfort.
