Boat Description

Axis A225: The All-Round Wake Boat Built to Send

1. General Information

The Axis A225 is the mid-size heart of the Axis A-Series, the value-focused wake boat range from Malibu Boats. Successor to the long-running A22, it measures 6.83 m with a 2.59 m beam and carries up to 15 people, striking an ideal balance between a big, rideable wake and a hull that stays agile, easy to drive and simple to tow.

It suits active families and groups of friends who want one versatile boat for wakesurfing, wakeboarding, foiling, tubing and relaxed lake days. As an open day boat there is no cabin; the space goes to generous lounge seating and storage for boards and gear, while a 212 L fuel tank comfortably covers a full day of towing.

2. Construction and Design

Built in fibreglass on the Wake Plus hull, the A225 is designed to sit deeper in the water at low speeds and displace more water for a bigger wake. With a dry weight of around 2,220 kg, it carries 510 kg of standard factory ballast, rising to around 1,894 kg at maximum, and the Power Wedge III hydrofoil lets riders fine-tune the wave for every ability.

Inside, the focus is on simplicity and comfort: a sociable cockpit lounge, a clean helm with the low-profile Axis Dash touchscreen, and storage designed so the crew spends less time adjusting and more time riding.

3. Key Features

Surf Gate: Creates a clean, ocean-like wave on either side of the boat at the touch of a button, with no need to shift people or weight.

Surf Band: Lets the rider control music volume, speed, wave shape and surf side from a wrist remote.

Axis Dash: A low-profile touchscreen for loading rider presets, checking boat vitals and adjusting audio from the driver's seat.

Monsoon power: In-house Malibu Monsoon inboards from 360 hp up to 430 hp deliver smooth, reliable torque for a full load of ballast.

Room for 15: Generous seating and storage make it easy to bring the whole crew and their gear.

4. Summary

The Axis A225 is aimed at buyers who want proper wake and surf performance in a size that remains easy to drive, launch and store. It suits families and riding crews who need seating for a group, and owners stepping up from a 20-footer, offering Malibu technology at a strong-value price.
