Boat Description
Axis T23: The Big-Wave Flagship of the T-Series
1. General Information
The Axis T23 is the largest and most capable model in Axis's traditional-bow T-Series, built by the value-focused sister brand of Malibu Boats. Measuring 7.14 m overall (8.41 m including the swim platform) with a 2.59 m beam and a 0.69 m draft, it carries up to 16 people, making it a natural step up for crews who have outgrown a 22-footer but still want a boat that is straightforward to trail and launch.
This is a dedicated day boat for watersports and socialising rather than overnight cruising, so there are no cabins. Instead, the layout centres on a wraparound rear lounge, a generous bow seating area and large lockers for boards, ropes and life jackets. A 246 L fuel tank supports long days of wakeboarding, wakesurfing, skiing and tubing, while a weight of around 2,268 kg gives the hull real presence in the water. It suits families, lake-house owners and riding groups who want a bigger wave and more room without moving into flagship-brand pricing.
2. Construction and Design
The T23 is built in fibreglass on Axis's Wake Plus monohull, engineered to generate clean, consistent wakes and waves across a wide range of loads. Factory ballast starts at 408 kg and can be increased to around 2,082 kg with optional add-ons, letting owners tune everything from a mellow beginner wake to a steep, powerful surf wave. Standard power is a 360 hp Malibu Monsoon M5Di petrol inboard driving through a V-drive, with a 430 hp Monsoon M6Di available for crews who run heavy ballast.
Inside, durable marine vinyl upholstery, textured non-slip flooring and plenty of speakers and cup holders keep the cockpit practical and sociable. The helm offers clear sightlines aft to the rider, and the traditional pointed bow gives the boat a classic, sporty profile on the water.
3. Key Features
Surf Gate and Power Wedge: Malibu's patented systems let the driver switch the surf side at the touch of a button and reshape the wake on the fly.
Wake Plus hull with big ballast: up to around 2,082 kg of ballast builds a wave that rivals much larger boats.
Rear-facing sliding Skybox seat: a convertible bench that flips to face the rider, so passengers can watch every set in comfort.
Monsoon V-drive power: a 360 hp M5Di as standard, or a 430 hp M6Di option, for strong pull with a fully loaded boat.
Room for 16: bow and wraparound lounge seating plus deep lockers keep a full crew and their gear organised.
4. Summary
The Axis T23 is aimed at buyers who want the biggest wave and the most space in the Axis traditional-bow range: growing families, groups of friends and dedicated riders who spend whole summer days behind the boat. It delivers Malibu-grade wake and surf technology, seating for 16 and genuine versatility for every watersport, all in a package that remains easy to own, tow and enjoy.
