Boat Description
Italian builder Baglietto announced in December 2022 the sale of the first hull of its new T60 motoryacht. The design for the innovative 60-meter vessel (197-foot) was first shown to the public at the Monaco Yacht Show last fall. The new model is part of the brand’s Seagull line and is an evolution of the popular T52.
The new yacht will have interiors by Francesco Paszkowski Design in cooperation with Margherita Casprini, and is scheduled for delivery in 2026. Construction on speculation of a second hull will start soon, the company says.
At 60 meters (197 feet) length overall and around 1,000 gross tons, the T60 is the natural evolution and the modern, innovative interpretation of the successful T52, Baglietto says. The soft exterior lines have become sleeker thanks to the lighter side buttresses that appear to be “hanging” on the water and blend in with the outer ceiling, while the black glass stripe incorporates the portholes a leitmotif on Baglietto’s most recent yachts resulting in an even more streamlined profile.
The layout is innovative and unprecedented, according to the company. There are no enclosed spaces. The floor-to-ceiling windows of both the main salon and the upper deck open up completely and create versatile interior environments that change constantly to harmonize with the surrounding landscape.
The same informal areas that during the day allow guests to spend time outdoors and enjoy the sea to the fullest, are easily converted to take on a more formal and stately ambience in the evening, while maintaining direct contact with the sea. The beach area, the main salon and the dining area are conceived as one single, free-flowing space. A 60-square-meter (646-square-foot) beach lounge with a pool, a conversation area and a gym welcomes guests on board and leads them to the salon, which can be opened up completely by way of an elegant staircase, resulting in a space of 100 square meters (1,076 square feet) on two levels.
The first T60 stands out in particular for her very original configuration, with the upper deck turned into a fully walkable owners’ deck. The master stateroom is accessed from a lobby amidships that also features a glass elevator. The suite includes an office, a walk-in wardrobe, and a large bathroom with separate toilets. The night area has glazed surfaces that slide open to offer private access to an outdoor pool forward. Windows that open entirely on three sides can also be found aft, where the lounge area opens onto the en plein air dining table, once more creating the smooth, seamless connection between interiors and exteriors that characterizes the entire vessel. A hot tub and a sunbathing area complete this deck’s layout.
Guests are accommodated in four cabins (2 VIPs and 2 guest) on the main deck and a fifth guest cabin on the lower deck. Also on the lower deck are a massage room, the spacious galley and the crew quarters, which include the crew mess, a dinette, and 7 cabins sleeping 13 crew members. The under-lower deck houses the various technical areas: a storage room, wine cellar, baggage compartment and cold rooms.
The T60 is equipped with two CAT 3512 ACERT engines that will push her to a maximum speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots, the builder says.
