Boat Description
Bass Cat Lynx STS: Classic Layout, Modern Performance
1. General Information
The Bass Cat Lynx STS is the newest member of the brand's STS family: a 6.27-metre (20' 7") premium bass boat that pairs the modern STS hull with a more traditional deck layout. It shares its hull with the Puma STS but offers a different approach for anglers who prefer a classic arrangement over the contemporary designs of Bass Cat's other 20-foot models.
The ideal owner is a tournament or serious recreational angler who wants modern performance on a familiar, practical deck. A 2.44-metre beam gives a broad, stable casting platform, and an outboard rating of 200 to 300 hp delivers strong acceleration. Twin 121-litre fuel tanks provide around 242 litres for a full day of running. As an open bass boat it has no cabin; the space is devoted to fishing efficiency, storage and comfort.
2. Construction and Design
Like the rest of the premium range, the Lynx STS uses 100% fibreglass hull construction, a foam-filled stringer system and vinyl ester resin on 60% of the outer laminate. Its styling has influenced the latest Jaguar STS, with billet aluminium hand rails, graph hood and cowl vents. Rod storage comprises a 2.44-metre port box and a 1.98-metre starboard box with an organiser, while pump-in/pump-out livewells with aeration and recirculation, insulated ice chests and deck lids, and Plano tackle trays keep the deck organised. Premium bucket seats, a centre seat, 28-ounce carpet, Reflex rod pads and LED lighting add comfort, and a welded tandem-axle trailer with braked Torqueflex axles and a pivot tongue is included.
3. Key Features
Traditional deck layout: A classic arrangement gives anglers a familiar, uncluttered platform on a modern hull.
STS hull: Shared with the Puma STS, it delivers the soft, controlled ride of Bass Cat's latest running surface.
Generous beam: The 2.44 m width provides stability for two anglers and confidence in chop.
Long-range fuel: Twin 121-litre tanks offer around 242 litres of capacity.
Premium finish: Billet aluminium details, LED deck and wake lighting and a Bass Cat logo light give a high-end feel.
4. Summary
The Bass Cat Lynx STS is aimed at anglers who want Bass Cat's newest hull technology without giving up a traditional layout. It suits tournament competitors and dedicated weekend fishermen who value stability, range and practical storage, as well as owners stepping up from older Bass Cat models who prefer a familiar deck. For buyers seeking a fresh premium bass boat with timeless ergonomics, the Lynx STS is a compelling choice.
