Boat Description

Bertram 35 Flybridge: A Legendary Hull Reborn for Modern Offshore Fishing

1. General Information

The Bertram 35 Flybridge is a modern interpretation of one of boating's most celebrated designs. Inspired by the iconic Bertram 31, this 10.69-metre sportfisher keeps the brand's famous deep-V pedigree while adding a longer, beamier hull, premium finishes and a fully fish-ready deck. It is a compact yet serious offshore machine, built for owners who want to reach distant fishing grounds quickly and return in comfort.

The ideal owner is a dedicated angler or weekend cruiser who values build quality and heritage over sheer volume. Below deck, a bright single-cabin layout combines a salon with dinette and galley, a forward double cabin and a generous head with full headroom. A 1,170-litre fuel capacity gives a range of around 260 nautical miles at a brisk 26-knot cruise, making long runs offshore entirely practical.

2. Construction and Design

The fibreglass hull is a direct development of the Ray Hunt deep-V that made Bertram famous, with a 21° transom deadrise for a soft, dry ride in demanding conditions. A beam of 3.73 metres and a shallow 0.84-metre draft balance stability with access to shallower inlets, while a standard Seakeeper 4.5 gyro stabiliser greatly reduces roll when drifting or trolling. Each boat is assembled by hand, with carefully selected materials and finishes throughout.

Inside, warm wood joinery, crisp white surfaces and soft LED lighting create an elegant, yacht-like atmosphere. Owners can personalise the interior with the light Atlantic package or the deep blue Pacific package, each with its own upholstery, countertops and flooring.

3. Key Features

Huge fishing cockpit: The cockpit takes up nearly half the boat's length, leaving plenty of room to fight and land large fish.

Twin Caterpillar C7.1 diesels: Two 507 mhp shaft-drive engines deliver a top speed of around 36 knots and a comfortable 26-knot cruise.

Seakeeper stabilisation: The standard Seakeeper 4.5 gyro keeps the deck steady for fishing, relaxing or overnighting at anchor.

Mezzanine seating and flybridge: Dual mezzanine seats offer a front-row view of the action, while the flybridge with wrap-around helm seating gives excellent visibility.

Refined single-cabin interior: A bright salon, well-equipped galley, forward double cabin and spacious head make weekends aboard genuinely comfortable.

4. Summary

The Bertram 35 Flybridge is aimed at discerning anglers and weekenders who want a long-term keeper with genuine heritage, exceptional build quality and fast, sure-footed performance offshore. It suits owners who fish seriously but also enjoy overnight trips with a partner or small family, and who are willing to invest in a premium, hand-finished boat that carries one of the most respected names in sportfishing.
