Bertram 410 Convertible: Tournament Pedigree in a Manageable Size
1. General Information
Introduced in 2007, the Bertram 410 Convertible brings the brand's sportfishing heritage to a 13.31-metre package that is large enough for serious offshore work yet manageable for an owner-operator. It combines a fast, stable hull with a generous fishing cockpit and a warm, well-appointed interior, making it a versatile choice for both tournament days and comfortable weekends aboard.
The ideal owner is a dedicated angler who also values family comfort. The two-cabin layout places a master cabin with a queen island berth in the forepeak and a guest cabin to starboard, served by two heads. A 2,044-litre fuel capacity gives a range of around 260 nautical miles at fast cruise, while a 454-litre water tank and standard generator and air conditioning support extended trips.
2. Construction and Design
The 410 rides on a modified deep-V hull, sharp forward with a mid-20° deadrise amidships easing to 17° at the transom, for a quick hole shot, good stability at rest and a comfortable ride offshore. The bottom is hand-laid solid fibreglass with S-glass reinforcement along the chines and keel and encapsulated foam-cored stringers, while the hull sides, deck and bridge are vacuum-bagged and foam-cored to save weight.
Inside, rich cherry joinery, large side windows and generous headroom give the salon a bright, upscale feel. A U-shaped dinette and sofa face a galley-down arrangement with solid-surface counters, creating a practical social space that works equally well for a fishing crew or a family.
3. Key Features
Purpose-built fishing cockpit: Around 9.7 square metres of deck with removable and in-transom fishboxes and a transom door make light work of landing big fish.
Cummins diesel power: Twin 540 hp Cummins QSC8.3s come as standard, with 600 hp versions delivering about 30 knots flat out and a fast cruise near 28 knots.
Modern composite construction: A solid hand-laid bottom combined with foam-cored, vacuum-bagged topsides keeps the boat strong, stiff and light.
Flybridge command post: A centreline helm console with comfortable helm chairs under a hardtop gives excellent sightlines over the cockpit and spread.
Comfortable two-cabin interior: A queen-berth master, a guest cabin and two heads, with cherry finishes throughout, make overnight and weekend trips genuinely enjoyable.
4. Summary
The Bertram 410 Convertible is aimed at anglers who want a fast, capable and well-built sportfisher without stepping up to a full-size tournament yacht. It suits owner-operators, families who fish together and charter skippers seeking a dependable, comfortable platform, and it offers the legendary Bertram name with modern construction and genuine overnight comfort.
