Boat Overview

Boat Description

Concept 27 Open Deck: The Ultimate Compact Adventurer

1. General Information

The Concept 27 Open Deck is the entry point to the Florida builder's Classic Series, an 8.18 m centre console that packs genuine offshore attitude into a lightweight, easily handled package. With a 2.36 m beam, a shallow 0.41 m draft and a maximum outboard rating of 500 hp, it is equally at home running to the reef, exploring shallow backcountry water or anchoring off a sandbar. Seating for up to eight passengers, generous dry storage and a 341 L fuel tank make it an ideal choice for families, weekend anglers and first-time centre console owners who want versatility, sharp handling and low running costs.

2. Construction and Design

Concept builds the 27 Open Deck on a deep-V fibreglass hull with a 24-degree deadrise and 76 cm gunwales, giving a dry, confident ride for its size and secure footing for crew and children. At around 2,090 kg, it responds eagerly to single or twin Mercury outboards, managed through Mercury DTS throttle and gauges with tilt steering. The deck features a non-skid cockpit sole, powder-coated aluminium bow and grab rails, five stainless-steel pull-up cleats and a rub rail, while bow seating, forward console seating and an aft bench keep everyone comfortable. A console with porta-potty, LED cockpit lighting, anodised cup holders and a plexiglass windscreen round out a thoughtfully finished layout.

3. Key Features

Lightweight deep-V hull: A 24° deadrise delivers a smooth ride while the modest weight keeps running costs and towing demands low.

Single or twin Mercury power: Up to 500 hp of outboard power with Mercury DTS controls for crisp, responsive handling.

Angler-friendly layout: A fish box/cooler, built-in rod racks, rod holders and optional power poles make it a capable inshore and nearshore fishing platform.

Family seating for eight: Bow, console and aft seating with integrated storage make sandbar days and family outings easy.

Shallow 0.41 m draft: Lets owners reach flats, coves and beaches that larger centre consoles cannot.

4. Summary

The Concept 27 Open Deck suits owners who want a nimble, economical and well-built centre console for mixed family boating and fishing. It appeals to first-time buyers, weekend anglers and coastal families who value easy handling, shallow-water access and the reassurance of a deep-V hull from an experienced Miami builder.
