Boat Description
Crestliner 1650 Fish Hawk: A Compact 17-Foot Aluminium Deep-V for Serious Anglers
1. General Information
The Crestliner 1650 Fish Hawk was the entry point to Crestliner's best-selling Fish Hawk family of all-welded aluminium Deep-V fishing boats, built from 2013 until it was replaced in the range. At 5.11 metres with a 2.20-metre beam, it packs big-boat fishing features into an easy-to-tow package for up to six people. It was offered as the SC (side console) and the WT (walk-through) with a second console and wrap-around windshield, both rated for outboards up to 90 hp. Walleye, bass and panfish anglers on lakes and rivers are its natural owners.
2. Construction and Design
The hull is a four-piece all-welded aluminium Deep-V with a variable-degree deadrise of 12 degrees at the transom, a 1.83-metre chine width and a 0.61-metre cockpit depth. Plating is 2.3 mm (0.090-inch) on the bottom, 2.0 mm (0.080-inch) on the sides and 3.2 mm (0.125-inch) on the transom. The SureMount gunnel system takes accessories without drilling, the floor is laid with 16 oz marine carpet, and an Armor-Guard paint finish protects the hull. Dry weight is around 476 kg for the SC and 538 kg for the WT.
3. Key Features
Aerated Stern Livewell – A 57-litre livewell with timer and divider, plus an optional bow baitwell.
Lockable In-Floor Rod Locker – Ten tubes for rods up to 2.1 m, with a quick-access port rack for rods up to 2.7 m.
Two Console Layouts – A single side console with windscreen (SC) or a walk-through dual console with safety-glass windshield (WT).
Full Instrumentation – Speedometer, tachometer, voltmeter, trim and fuel gauges, lit toggle switches and a 12V outlet.
Plenty of Storage – Bow cubby and side compartments, stern storage, battery storage and space for a 24V trolling motor battery system.
4. Summary
The Crestliner 1650 Fish Hawk suits anglers who want a well-equipped Deep-V fishing boat that is light, affordable and easy to tow. Its welded hull, practical storage and choice of console layouts make it a popular and sought-after pre-owned boat today.
