Boat Description
Crestliner 1650 Pro Tiller: A 17-Foot Aluminium Deep-V Built for Tiller Anglers
1. General Information
The Crestliner 1650 Pro Tiller is a 5.13-metre all-welded aluminium Deep-V fishing boat for anglers who prefer the direct control of a tiller outboard. Ample casting space, a well-placed livewell and baitwell, lockable rod storage and a smart command console keep everything within reach when the bite is on. With room for six and a 2.20-metre beam, it handles lakes and rivers with confidence while remaining light and easy to tow. It is rated for 50 to 75 hp Mercury tiller outboards.
2. Construction and Design
The hull is a four-piece all-welded aluminium Deep-V with a variable-degree deadrise of 12 degrees, a full-length extruded welded keel and a full-length welded reverse chine extrusion with spray deflector. Plating is 2.29 mm (0.090-inch) on the bottom, 2.03 mm (0.080-inch) on the sides and 3.18 mm (0.125-inch) on the transom, with a wood-free transom. A 1.83-metre chine width and 0.56-metre cockpit depth create a stable, secure fishing platform. The extruded gunnel carries SureMount and J-Hook systems, the floor is laid with 16 oz marine carpet, and the hull is finished in baked Armor-Guard paint. Dry weight without an engine is around 492 kg.
3. Key Features
Open Bow Storage – Larger, divider-free bow compartments make it easy to reach gear quickly.
Stern Livewell and Baitwell – A 57-litre aerated livewell and a 13-litre baitwell sit either side of the tiller.
Command Console – A lockable electronics compartment with pull-out tray, storage drawer, tackle storage, gauges and a 12V outlet.
Lockable Rod Storage – A lit ten-tube centre bow locker for rods up to 2.1 m, plus a lockable starboard locker for 2.4 m rods.
Advanced Tiller Handle – Mercury's big tiller handle, with an optional hydraulic-assist upgrade, for easy control.
4. Summary
The Crestliner 1650 Pro Tiller suits walleye and multispecies anglers who want a well-equipped, affordable Deep-V with tiller steering. Its welded hull, smart storage and easy handling make it a practical choice for fishing lakes and rivers.
