Boat Description
Crestliner 1850 Pro Tiller: An 18-Foot Aluminium Deep-V Designed Around the Driver
1. General Information
The Crestliner 1850 Pro Tiller is a 5.64-metre all-welded aluminium Deep-V fishing boat built around the angler at the tiller. The tiller handle, command console and livewells all sit within easy reach, so trolling a weedline or watching the graph is simple, while a wide-open layout offers over 18 feet of fishing space. Seating up to six, it is at home chasing walleye, pike, crappie, musky, bass or trout. It is rated for a 90 hp Mercury tiller outboard.
2. Construction and Design
The hull is a four-piece all-welded aluminium Deep-V with a variable-degree deadrise of 12 degrees, a full-length extruded welded keel and a full-length welded reverse chine extrusion with spray deflector. Plating is 2.54 mm (0.100-inch) on the bottom, 2.29 mm (0.090-inch) on the sides and 3.18 mm (0.125-inch) on the transom, with a wood-free transom and transom scuppers. A 2.39-metre beam, 1.98-metre chine width and 1.04-metre maximum depth provide a stable, dry platform. The extruded gunnel carries SureMount and J-Hook systems, the floor is laid with 16 oz marine carpet, and the hull is finished in baked Armor-Guard paint. Dry weight without an engine is around 624 kg.
3. Key Features
Stern Livewell and Baitwell – A 57-litre aerated stern livewell and a 10-litre baitwell either side of the tiller, plus a 45-litre bow livewell.
Command Console – A lockable electronics compartment with pull-out tray, storage drawer, tackle storage, gauges and a 12V outlet.
Starboard Rod Locker – Lockable storage for rods up to 2.7 m, with topside straps for more.
Centre Bow Rod Locker – A lit, lockable ten-tube locker for rods up to 2.3 m.
36V-Ready Storage – Trolling motor battery and charger storage under the rod locker, plus bow and cockpit compartments.
4. Summary
The Crestliner 1850 Pro Tiller suits dedicated anglers who want a roomy, tough Deep-V with everything at the tiller operator's fingertips. Its welded hull, generous storage and twin livewells make it a capable multispecies boat season after season.
