Crestliner 1850 Sportfish: A 19-Foot Aluminium Fish-and-Ski Boat That Does It All
1. General Information
The Crestliner 1850 Sportfish is a 5.77-metre all-welded aluminium dual-console Deep-V designed for families who want one boat for fishing, cruising and watersports. Its conversion bow switches from a raised casting platform to passenger seating in seconds, while a removable ski pylon, swim platform and BOSS Bluetooth stereo make it ready for towing and relaxing. With room for eight and two aerated livewells, it is just as capable on a serious fishing day. It is rated for 150 to 200 hp Mercury outboards.
2. Construction and Design
The hull is Crestliner's four-piece all-welded aluminium AP-X design with a variable-degree deadrise of 15 degrees, a full-length welded keel and a full-length welded reverse chine extrusion with spray deflector. Plating is 3.18 mm (0.125-inch) on the bottom and transom and 2.29 mm (0.090-inch) on the sides, with a wood-free transom and baked Armor-Guard paint. A 2.44-metre beam, 0.67-metre cockpit depth and 1.10-metre maximum depth provide a stable, secure platform, and the extruded gunnel carries the SureMount and J-Hook accessory systems. Dry weight without an engine is around 771 kg.
