Boat Description
Crestliner 1850 Super Hawk: Where Serious Fishing Meets Family Fun
1. General Information
The Crestliner 1850 Super Hawk is a versatile 5.72 m aluminium fish-and-ski boat that does two jobs and does both well. Anglers get a deep, secure cockpit, ample storage and a steady casting platform, while families get comfortable seating, a quick-change bow and the option of a ski-tow pylon. With room for up to eight people and outboard power from 115 to 200 hp, it suits lakes, rivers and sheltered inland waters equally well, from dawn walleye runs to relaxed afternoons of tubing and swimming. This is an open day boat with no cabin, galley or heads, which keeps it light, simple to launch and easy to tow.
2. Construction and Design
The 1850 Super Hawk is built on Crestliner's AP-X Active Performance aluminium hull, a deep-V design with a 15-degree deadrise and a recessed pad that helps it plane sooner, track tighter and make better use of engine power. The aluminium gauge is a sturdy 3.2 mm on the bottom and transom and 2.3 mm on the sides, giving the boat the toughness anglers expect from this material. Above the waterline, the cockpit is wider and deeper than before, the rod locker has been raised and the console has been refined. The result is a layout that feels spacious underfoot and sensible at the helm, with plenty of space for electronics and gear.
3. Key Features
AP-X hull: quicker planing, tighter tracking and improved towing make the most of whatever outboard is fitted.
Conversion bow: switches from fishing to skiing and back in seconds, with generous storage beneath.
Premium console: chrome gauges, lit rocker switches, a USB-C outlet, throw tray, phone charger and tool holder, with space for large electronics.
Flexible power: rated for outboards from 115 to 200 hp, so owners can choose between economical cruising and sport-boat pace.
Eight-person capacity: an 816 kg maximum load and room for eight make it a true family boat.
4. Summary
The Crestliner 1850 Super Hawk is aimed at freshwater anglers with families, and at families who like to fish. It suits owners who want one trailerable boat for weekday fishing and weekend watersports, without the cost and complexity of a cabin cruiser. Buyers who value a rugged aluminium hull, a flexible bow and a choice of engine power will find it a practical, durable companion for many seasons.
