Boat Description
Crestliner 1950 Sportfish: Fishing and Family Fun in a Versatile 20-Foot Aluminium Package
1. General Information
The Crestliner 1950 Sportfish is a 6.07-metre all-welded aluminium fish-and-ski boat that packs the versatility of Crestliner's larger Sportfish models into a more manageable size. Rated for 150 to 200 hp outboards and seating up to eight, it moves easily between serious multi-species fishing and family water sports, thanks to a conversion bow that switches from raised casting platform to lounge seating in seconds. A 2.44-metre beam, deep cockpit and wrap-around windshield make it comfortable on big lakes, while twin livewells, generous rod storage and a removable ski pylon make it a true all-rounder for anglers with families.
2. Construction and Design
The boat rides on Crestliner's AP-X hull, a four-piece all-welded aluminium design with a variable-degree deadrise of 15 degrees at the transom, a full-length extruded welded keel and welded reverse chine extrusions with spray deflectors for a smooth, dry ride. Heavy 3.18 mm plating on the bottom and transom and 2.29 mm on the sides add durability, and a 0.66-metre cockpit depth keeps passengers secure. The dual-console layout pairs a feature-rich starboard helm, with space for up to 12-inch electronics, a wireless phone charger, chrome multifunction gauges and hydraulic tilt steering, with a port console and lockable glove box. A swim platform with ladder, stern bench, marine-grade carpet over treated panel flooring and baked Armor-Guard paint complete a well-finished package.
3. Key Features
Conversion Bow – The multi-use front deck turns from a raised casting platform into comfortable passenger seating in seconds.
Feature-Rich Helm – Room for 12-inch electronics, a wireless phone charger, lit push-button switches and a Boss Bluetooth stereo.
Twin Aerated Livewells – Bow and stern 14-gallon livewells, the stern unit with timer and recirculation, keep bait and catch healthy.
Secure Rod Storage – A lockable in-floor locker for six rods plus under-gunwale tubes for three more.
Water Sports Ready – A removable ski pylon, swim platform with ladder and comfortable stern bench make towing and swimming easy.
4. Summary
The Crestliner 1950 Sportfish suits families who want one boat for fishing, towing and cruising without stepping up to a larger rig. Its AP-X hull, convertible bow, twin livewells and 150–200 hp power range make it a versatile, durable and comfortable choice for lakes and large rivers.
