Boat Description
Crestliner 2070 Retriever SCHD: The Toughest 20-Foot Aluminium Side Console in the Retriever Range
1. General Information
The Crestliner 2070 Retriever SCHD (Side Console Heavy Duty) is a 6.10-metre all-welded aluminium boat built for anglers and hunters who work hard water and harder conditions. It is the most rugged model in the Retriever family, with thicker plating than the standard SC, a broad 2.44-metre beam and seating for seven. A huge aerated bow livewell makes it a natural choice for catfishing, while its side console, storage and rod racks keep it just as capable on a duck hunt or a river trip. It is rated for 75 to 150 hp outboards, including a Mercury jet option for shallow water.
2. Construction and Design
What sets the SCHD apart is its 3.18 mm (0.125-inch) aluminium plating on the bottom, sides and transom, paired with an all-welded hull, a full-length extruded welded keel and extra-strength extruded ribs in a cross and side rib layout. A shallow 3.5-degree deadrise and 1.78-metre chine width create a flat, stable working platform, with eight formed strakes and formed spray rails for tracking. Inside, the flat aluminium floor, wood-free construction, compartment seals and level flotation keep maintenance low. The forward-mounted aluminium console carries three vertical rod holders, switches, a 12V outlet, a master power switch and space for electronics, and the boat weighs around 552 kg dry without an engine.
3. Key Features
60-Gallon Bow Livewell – A 227-litre aerated livewell with removable dividers handles big catches, especially catfish.
Heavy-Duty Hull – 3.18 mm aluminium plating throughout makes this the toughest Retriever model.
Aluminium Side Console – Room for electronics, three vertical rod holders, a drink holder and a grab handle.
Seats with Storage Below – Two Mossy Oak Shadowgrass Tempress seats, with lockable bow compartments and a stern service platform for gear.
Quick-Access Rod Storage – A port rod rack holds three full-size rods, ready for action.
4. Summary
The Crestliner 2070 Retriever SCHD suits anglers and hunters who want the strongest possible aluminium side console for rivers, marshes and big lakes. Its heavy-gauge welded hull, stable flat floor, massive livewell and wide power range make it a dependable, do-anything workboat.
