Boat Overview
Boat Description
Crownline 220 SS Surf
1. General Information
The 220 SS Surf is the watersports version of Crownline's 220 SS bowrider, introduced in 2021 as part of the builder's Surf Series. It keeps the 6.65 m hull and family-friendly bowrider layout, then adds a forward-facing drive, ballast and wake-shaping tabs so families can surf and wakeboard behind the same boat they use for relaxed lake days.
2. Construction and Design
The fibreglass hull uses Crownline's F.A.S.T. Tab vented chine with reversed chines and a delta performance pad on a 19° deadrise, with a 100% composite transom. Power comes from a Volvo Penta Forward Drive, whose forward-facing counter-rotating propellers sit well under the hull and away from swimmers. A deluxe aluminium wakeboard tower with sun top, U-wrap seating with centre transom walk-through and twin aft sun lounges complete the layout.
3. Key Features
Surf system: Three quick-disconnect ballast bags totalling 533 kg, Wake Worx Super Surf'r 17" trim tabs and twin 7" surf touchscreens for speed, ballast and tab control.
Tower and audio: A deluxe aluminium tower with two swivel board racks and LED-lit speakers, a Wet Sounds performance amp with transom remote and eight speakers in total.
Social Swim Platform: A soft-touch swim platform with two Wet Sounds transom speakers and a fresh-water shower.
Comfort: Flip-up bucket seats with slide and swivel, a sundeck with Crownline's patented boarding-assist handle, snap-in cockpit mats, a portable table and wireless phone charging.
Trailer and extras: A Typhoon wakeboard and a colour-matched Heritage Deluxe tandem-axle trailer come as standard.
4. Summary
With a 2025 US base price of $117,995, the Crownline 220 SS Surf suits families who want proper surf and wakeboard wakes without giving up the comfort and versatility of a bowrider.
