Boat Overview
Boat Description
Crownline 240 SS Surf
1. General Information
The 240 SS Surf is the surf and wake version of Crownline's 240 SS bowrider, built on the same 7.26 m hull. It combines a roomy family layout with a forward-facing drive, ballast and wake-shaping tabs, so the same boat can host a relaxed day at anchor or a session of surfing and wakeboarding.
2. Construction and Design
The fibreglass hull uses Crownline's F.A.S.T. Tab vented chine with reversed chines and a delta performance pad on a 19° deadrise, with a 100% composite transom rated up to 380 hp. The forward-facing drive keeps the propellers well under the hull and away from riders. A deluxe aluminium wakeboard tower with sun top, U-wrap seating with centre transom walk-through, twin aft sun lounges and a large bow lounge complete the layout.
3. Key Features
Surf system: Three quick-disconnect ballast bags totalling 533 kg, Wake Worx Super Surf'r 17" trim tabs and twin 7" surf touchscreens.
Tower and audio: A deluxe aluminium tower with two swivel board racks and LED-lit speakers, a Wet Sounds performance amp with transom remote and eight speakers in total.
Social Swim Platform: A soft-touch swim platform with two Wet Sounds transom speakers and a fresh-water shower.
Comfort: Flip-up bucket seats with slide and swivel, a sundeck with Crownline's patented boarding-assist handle, stainless docking lights, snap-in cockpit mats and a portable table.
Trailer and extras: A Typhoon wakeboard and a colour-matched Heritage tandem-axle trailer come as standard.
4. Summary
With a 2025 US base price of $134,995, the Crownline 240 SS Surf gives larger families more space than the 220 SS Surf while delivering the same purpose-built surf and wake package.
