<p>The Two Oceans 850E Power Catamaran is a completely custom designed and built luxury power catamaran. She is designed by award-winning yacht design firm Du Toit Yacht Design, who has produced more custom catamaran metres and tonnage than any other yacht designer in the southern hemisphere. She is the 13th large custom catamaran that Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing has launched in the last eight years that has been designed by Du Toit Yacht Design.</p><p>The Two Oceans 850E Power Catamaran is built in a sandwich construction, using epoxy E-glass with a PVC foam core and carbon fibre for local support and reinforcement structures.</p><p>The owner had extremely specific requirements, and this vessel has been custom designed and built to suit their specific needs and application. The Two Oceans 850E Power Catamaran has wider hulls than her slightly smaller predecessors to accommodate transverse berths and larger cabins below deck. The interior layout, furniture design, décor and finishes were done by Du Toit Yacht Design. Her lines are elegant and stylish, and 10 blue LED underwater lights make her a beautiful sight when moored or steaming at night.</p><p>She boasts a spacious galley on the main deck, comprising the entire width of the interior. The owners and their guests can relax in the comfortable cockpit or bar area after a day on the water and watch their favourite meal or sundowners being prepared. The galley has plenty of cupboards for long term food and provisions storage as well as large Vitifrigo fridges and freezer space to last several months of exploring. The galley, a marine chef’s dream in terms of space and layout, boats every conceivable modern appliance and endless countertops manufactured from a Shemar, a Corian product.</p><p>The interior flooring is teak, and careful attention has been given to the interior finishes, layout, and soft furnishings, giving the Two Oceans 850 a luxurious, yet practical and comfortable feel. This is an elegant and refined vessel: Ralph Lauren fabrics have been used on the day beds and scatter cushions and the wood inserts, television unit, bar and dining table in the aft cockpit are walnut. Careful attention has been paid to stylish LED lights and low-level ambient lighting, all dimmable.</p><p>Forward of the galley is a lounge/relax area with a large flat screen TV and state of the art entertainment system. The navigation station and vessel systems console is positioned on the port forward side of the vessel.</p><p>The aft cockpit has been designed as the main living and dining area of the vessel and has two large sunbeds and a large walnut dining table able to seat ten people. There is a Vitifrigo double drawer fridge, three 125 l freezers, a prep bowl with a hold and cold mixers, a gas barbeque and plenty of storage space.</p><p>The second living area is the very spacious flybridge deck. This provides a comfortable upper lounge area, complete with a dining table, wet bar, ice machine, drinks fridge and sink area. It is the perfect living area to serve canapes and light lunches. A full size jacuzzi and day head complete the flybridge lounge guest area.</p><p>The Two Oceans 850E Power Catamaran has two luxurious double, en-suite cabins in both the port and starboard hulls sleeping eight guests in five-star comfort. The wide, spacious hulls have accommodated transverse berths in the owners’ two cabins in the front of the hulls, and the owners’ mattresses are from Hästens. She has two en-suite crew cabins with their own showers in the front of both hulls, accommodating her crew of four comfortably.</p>

<p>The Two Oceans 800E Power Catamaran is the bigger sister of the Two Oceans 750E Power Catamaran.</p><p>Cake, the second Two Oceans 800E Power Catamaran to be launched by Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing in 2016, was at the time of her launch, the largest power catamaran ever to be launched in South Africa, along with her sister ship, <i>Ultra Vires</i>.&nbsp;</p><p>Powered by two Cummins 228 kW/305 HP motors, she is robustly build for transatlantic voyages and is capable of motoring long distances economically; independently or towing another 50 foot boat . She is built to cross oceans effortlessly and with speed, and to have a motoring range of around 4,500 nautical miles.</p><p>The Two Oceans 800E Power Catamaran II is a slightly modified sister ship to the Two Oceans 800E Power Catamaran I,&nbsp; with a slightly smaller saloon area and larger cockpit area which is fitted out with a dining table, barbecue and bar fridge. The aft cabins have been fitted with California Kings and all four double cabins have spacious en-suite heads.</p><p>Built for a couple who want to experience kite surfing in far-flung destinations, the aft deck is&nbsp; specifically setup for this by being left open for easy launches. The boat is equipped with a 5.05m primary tender, a 3.2m dinghy and a jet ski launched from dedicated davit cranes.</p>

<h4>Walkthrough</h4>
<p>"Paws for Pleasure" was built with the maximum volume available in a 65' cruising yacht. She has dual teak covered staircases from extended teak covered swim platform that lead up to a fully covered aft deck. The aft deck has built in seating with storage below and additional storage lockers on both sides of the seating area. A custom teak table allows for alfresco dining, and wing doors on the port and starboard sides forward on the aft deck simplify adding a full enclosure and can help cut down on wind.&nbsp;

<span>The main salon is entered through double doors on the aft deck. The first thing you will notice is her recently updated carpet and upholstery. Immediately to port is an L-shaped sofa that was extended to allow maximum seating, along with a beautiful custom chair and matching ottoman. In front of the built in sofa is a large ottoman with built in storage. On the starboard side there is an extended custom cabinetry that houses a rising large flat screen TV. Forward of that, a cabinet with a lifting top that houses an electric piano keyboard, but could easily be converted to a desk with storage cabinets on one side. Overhead teak strapping, and attractive window treatments along with a rich teak interior provide a comfortable relaxing atmosphere.&nbsp;</span>

<span>Forward and up 2 steps is the galley, which features upgraded appliances, and a large window with window treatments. All countertops were upgraded to granite with granite backsplashes. Opposite the galley there is an on deck day head, a feature not commonly found on a 65' yacht.&nbsp;</span>

<span>Entering the pilothouse is done through a door that can be closed for night travel or privacy. There is a large, comfortable L-shaped settee with a custom hinged table that opens to create a very large dining table. A centerline mounted, upgraded Stidd helm chair mounts to the beautiful teak flooring, and is flanked by port and starboard wing doors with phantom screens. At the helm, there's an extensive electronics package that is very easy to use and operate. A comfortable staircase to starboard leads up to the flybridge, and forward on the starboard side is a staircase leading down to the staterooms.&nbsp;</span>

<span>The VIP stateroom with a lengthened queen berth is located forward with spacious drawer storage below and two hanging lockers. There is a walk in closet to accommodate both owners and their guests storage needs. The VIP has an ensuite head with granite counters, as well as storage and a spacious shower.&nbsp;</span>

<span>Aft of the VIP and to port is a guest cabin with a double berth below and single berth above. Opposite this cabin there is a full sized stacked washer and dryer.&nbsp;</span>

<span>The master stateroom is amidships, with substantial storage in end tables and drawers under the king berth. You will be hard pressed to find a 65' yacht with more storage in the master stateroom. There are two full height walk in hanging lockers, drawers and lockers more than 30" deep located on the aft bulkhead, and a dresser with drawers located below the large flat screen TV opposite the king berth. The ensuite head to port has a compartmentalized head with door, twin sinks with granite counters, and a large medicine cabinet. The shower is large enough to also have an area with seating. Below the master, between the berth and dresser is an opening hatch that leads to abundant storage.</span>

<span>Behind a teak door amidships in the master is an additional watertight door leading into the full height engine room, providing excellent access. The engine room is well laid out, providing ease of maintenance on all major systems. At the aft of the engine room is another watertight door leading to the workshop area. This area has a work bench, head, and shower. There is also access from the transom door located on the swim platform.&nbsp;</span>

<span>The flybridge on the Outer Reef is full width, with a hardtop over the helm. There are two Stidd chairs for ample seating while underway. The L shaped seating on port and starboard side makes for a great entertaining space, as well as providing ample storage underneath. The position of the flybridge over the pilothouse not only provides for great visibility, but also creates a massive storage locker under the flybridge cowling. The entire flybridge mold, including the boat deck, comes from a one piece mold with no caulking to discolor. Aft of the seating, and down two steps, there is a built in deck box with fridge and icemaker to port, sink with storage, and an LP grill serviced by two 20 pound tanks. The boat deck is aft, and is massive for a boat of this size. The boat deck has a fully hydraulic davit, chocks for a scooter, and a Novurania 430DL with 60HP Yamaha outboard.&nbsp;</span>

<span>On the foredeck there is an opening door to the Portugese bridge. This, along with the high bulwarks and covered side decks, provides excellent safety at sea. The windlass was upgraded to a horizontal dual capstan windlass with separate 300ft sections of chain and dual anchors. A stainless breastplate protects the bow when the anchors are lifted.&nbsp;</span></p>

She is built to cross oceans effortlessly and with speed, and to have a motoring range of around 4,500 nautical miles.</p><p>The Two Oceans 800E Power Catamaran was custom designed and built for the owner as an on-the-water home for a kite boarding and surfing family to chase the perfect kite boarding and surfing conditions. Ultra Vires has ample storage space for kites, kite boards and surf boards.</p><p>Ultra Vires is expertly built in a sandwich construction, using epoxy E-glass with a PVC foam core.</p><p>She is an elegant yacht with beautiful lines and intricate features. The interiors have been designed for effortless ocean living as the easily accessible spaces are open and free-flowing. Ultra Vires’ interior is predominantly wood and monochrome. The interior layout, furniture design and finishes were done by Du Toit Yacht Design and the décor and design by designer Hanno de Swardt of Onnah Design.</p><p>She boasts a spacious saloon and galley, with all the comforts one could ask for on a luxury holiday: &nbsp;air conditioning, sound system, TV and a DVD player in the saloon. In addition there is also plenty of refrigeration and freezer space and appliances such as an ice-maker, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and a gas oven and hob in the galley area. The galley forms part of the spacious main saloon area which includes a state-of-the-art navigation station.</p><p>The atmosphere on the Two Oceans 800 E Power Catamaran is relaxed; guests can even join in on meal preparation, while enjoying a cold beverage after a day of fishing or playing on the water.</p><p>Ultra Vires has two spacious aft cockpits – one upper and one lower – both protected from the sun and the elements. On the lower deck one will find comfortable and stylish, custom-made outdoor furniture and a bar area with a built-in braai and a fridge. The boat is helmed from the main command centre on the upper cockpit on the flybridge and also houses comfortable custom-made outdoor loungers.</p><p>The very practical accommodation is luxurious and comfortable: Ultra Vires has two cabins in each hull, each cabin having its own entry way from the saloon and galley area and en-suite heads with a vanity and shower. The two fore cabins on the boat can be made up as a double bed or as two single beds. Ultra Vires has crew accommodation in each hull for two crew members; each cabin with double bunks, a heads and a shower.</p><p>The seemingly endless decks are beautifully finished in teak and around every turn on the elegantly laid out exterior, is another toy. This impressive cat was expertly built by Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing and designed by Du Toit Yacht Design in Cape Town, South Africa.</p><p>Named Adventum when she was launched, and later November Rain, the Two Oceans 750E Power Catamaran follows the launch of her sister ship, Quo Vadis, in November 2012. She is an impressive 75 foot on-the-water home. Her sailing cousin, HQ2, the Two Oceans 750 Luxury Sailing Catamaran, was launched in November2013.</p><p>Powered by two Cummins 228 kW/305 HP motors, she is stylish and luxurious as well as comfortable and functional, and is designed for a family and their guests to chase perfect fishing conditions and similar adventures in destinations such as Mozambique and the Seychelles. She is robustly build for transatlantic voyages and is capable of motoring long distances economically, independently or towing another boat at big as 50 foot.</p><p>Designing and building this impressive catamaran was a project that took several months, with four designers involved at various stages in drawing up the interiors, lines, structure and various mechanical details in consultation with the owner and Du Toit Yacht Design at all stages of the project.</p><p>The Two Oceans 750E Power Catamaran is expertly built in a sandwich construction, using epoxy E-glass with a PVC foam core. <p>Space, both stowage and deck, are some of the first impressions when boarding the craft. It certainly has its fair share of both. While all centre console boats offer plenty of deck space, Sensation Boats have provided a layout that will cater for almost any eventuality. Starting in the bow there is an easily accessible anchor hatch just forward of the U-shaped bow seats which have stowage space cleverly positioned below them.</p><p>Moving aft, there is another comfortable seat just in front of the centre console above the fuel hatch. The console itself is well designed with plenty of space for gauges and sounders, as well as an area above the windscreen suitable for mounting the radio, plus a sound system head unit of your choice. The console area is protected by a solid, light-weight composite roof which is supported on a robust, aluminium frame.</p><p>On the test boat, outrigger supports were mounted on top of the T-top roof, together with the necessary radio antennas. <p>Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing launched South Africa’s biggest composite and leisure catamaran on 29 May 2019, the Two Oceans 110 Day Charter Catamaran. &nbsp;Named Le Cerf, she is owned by Mason’s Travel. Established in 1972, Masons Travel is a leading destination management company in Seychelles.</p><p>The Two Oceans 110 Day Charter Catamaran is designed for commercial day charters and for large groups of people. She will be based in Mahé.</p><p>The Two Oceans 110 Day Charter Catamaran is the biggest composite and leisure catamaran ever to be launched in South Africa.</p><p>She has both an upper and lower deck and a flybridge. The upper deck has plenty of casual seating as well as dining seating for 60 guests and storage space for snorkeling gear. The lower deck has dining seating for 90 guests as well as casual seating, as well as plenty of storage lockers, fridges, freezers, chilly bins and bars. All stairways and walkways blue effects LED lighting, and she has a Fusion sound system.</p><p>She can carry 275 people. The galley is housed in the starboard hull and can cater for 250 guests onboard. The starboard hull also has many storage lockers and a crew rest area, and bunks for the crew if needed on a delivery. The port hull houses the guest WC facilities – three ladies’ heads and wash up basins fore of the companionway and two gents’ heads and two urinals and wash up basins aft.</p><p>On her transom, she has a six metre tender on a fixed davit that can ferry 20 people to and from the boat.</p><p>The front deck has trampolines, more seating and a beach ladder. The Two Oceans 110 Day Charter Power Catamaran is yet another successful collaboration between Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing and renown South African naval architect Anton du Toit of Du Toit Yacht Design. She is the 11th large custom catamaran that the partnership has launched, with an 85 foot power catamaran due to be launched later in the year.</p><p>Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing has also recently launched the Two Oceans 70 Day Charter Sailing Catamaran, also designed by Du Toit Yacht Design. She will be bound for Jamaica, where she will accommodate 170 people on day charters.</p>

<p>The Hallberg-Rassy 312 was built for fifteen years between 1979 and 1993. Totally 690 boats were built. The 312 is a very popular model. Until 1986 the Hallberg-Rassy 312 Mark I was built, with the portlights in the blue stripe in the hull and with or without quarter berth. Models without quarter berth had an extra cockpit locker on starboard.</p><p>In 1986 the Hallberg-Rassy 312 Mk II was introduced. The first visible change is that the portlights got larger and were moved up to the superstructure as on today’s Hallberg-Rassy range. This gives a brighter saloon and a greater feeling of spaciousness. The whole superstructure and cockpit were at the same time moved aft, allowing a couple of important extra centimetres in the saloon. The superstructure was also raised, improving the headroom from 1.83 m to 1.85 m, which subjectively feels a lot more than the figure suggests on the paper. The working area of the galley was improved. The newer model was only built with quarter berth. The toilet compartment also got separate, and not all over the beam of the boat as on the previous model. There was a shower basin fitted into the new toilet compartment.</p><p>Hull and sail plan remained the same in both the Mk I and Mk II. 485 units were built of the Mark I version and 205 of the Mark II.</p>

<p>Man of Steel was Heesen’s first 50 metre steel hull displacement yacht. The owner had previously built a smaller semi-displacement yacht at Heesen and the shipyard was a clear first choice when he required something larger. Bigger, better, more complex, the new yacht moved Heesen into 50 metre construction and we were determined that our first yacht at this length would be something spectacular.</p><p>One of the most striking features is the bridge’s reverse windshield. This not only increases visibility in wet conditions but gives the yacht a sleek, streamlined shape. The specially-designed bulbous bow creates an anti-wave for a smoother path through the water. This results in a reduction in the power required to reach a top speed of 14,5 knots. Less power requires less fuel.</p><p>Four distinct deck areas provide huge amounts of outside space. On the sun deck an eight-person Jacuzzi is faced by a vast quadruple sunbed, while the entire dining and bar area is shaded by the radar arch, with<br>a large, opening sunroof providing natural light.
