2020 Nautic Africa 47M Frontier

The 47m FRONTIER Patrol Workboat is a modern high-speed semi-displacement vessel with aluminium hull. The design is optimized for endurance in coastal operations, with exceptional seakeeping abilities. It serves a multi-role function in Oil and Gas fields, namely: Coastal Patrol; Oil Spill Recovery; Fire Fighting; Search & Rescue.

Dynamic Positioning System (DP Class 1) provides safe operation around other surface craft. FiFi Class 1 (2400 m3/h) external firefighting monitors are remote from the wheelhouse. A davit-launched 12m Fast Rescue Daughter Craft (FRDC) is located on the main deck. The Cargo deck is arranged for operation of a complete floating boom type Oil Spill Recovery system, including 72 m3 waste oil tank capacity integrated in the hull, and a general-purpose deck crane and a stern winch. The wheelhouse and deckhouse have ballistic protection cladding. The vessel is equipped for man-overboard rescue and temporary refuge seating for 120 persons, including First Aid room, Decontamination room, Medical Beds area. Below deck, crew accommodation offers comfortable living quarters for twelve crew in six double cabins. Ample mess, galley, dry and cold storage, and sanitary spaces allow for autonomous operation for up to 30 days.
