Boat Description
Regulator 31: The Fastest Boat in the Regulator Fleet
1. General Information
The Regulator 31 is a powerful, sophisticated and thrilling offshore centre console, and the fastest boat in the builder's line-up. Recently redesigned, it measures 9.55 m with a generous 3.15 m beam and is powered as standard by twin Yamaha XTO Offshore 450 outboards, reaching a top speed of over 56 knots and cruising comfortably at around 35 knots. A 1,136 L fuel tank provides serious range for canyon trips and tournament days. This is a day boat with no overnight cabins, but a full-height console head with 1.98 m of headroom, a 132 L freshwater supply and plenty of seating make it ideal for both dedicated fishing crews and families spending long days on the water.
2. Construction and Design
The 31 rides on Regulator's signature deep-V fibreglass hull with a 24° deadrise, delivering a soft, dry and stable ride in rough water. At roughly 5,050 kg dry with engines, it has the heft to stay planted at speed, while standard Seakeeper Ride reduces pitch and roll for added comfort and efficiency. The latest redesign brings features inspired by the award-winning Regulator 35, including a raised bullnose toe rail, an updated T-top with ventilation system, drainage gutters and an integrated handrail, plus an E-Hub lithium battery system and magnetic cushions. The helm features factory-installed Garmin electronics and an LED glass touch control panel, with options such as heated helm seats and a faux teak helm pod.
3. Key Features
Twin Yamaha XTO 450 power: Two 450 hp V8 outboards make the 31 the fastest Regulator, with a top speed above 56 knots.
Standard Seakeeper Ride: Active ride control improves stability and efficiency underway, keeping crew comfortable on long offshore runs.
Advanced helm: Twin Garmin displays, an LED glass touch panel and an optional Helm Master EX joystick make handling and navigation effortless.
Tournament-ready fishing layout: A large in-deck fishbox with locking rod storage, transom livewell and fishbox, plus abundant rod holders, keep serious anglers well equipped.
Family comfort: Plush forward seating, a full-height head and thoughtful storage make the 31 just as suited to family days as to fishing trips.
4. Summary
The Regulator 31 is aimed at experienced offshore anglers and boating families who want exceptional speed, a stabilised ride and premium build quality in a manageable centre console. It suits owners who run long distances to the bite, value twin-engine power and the latest helm technology, and also want a comfortable, social boat for the whole family. For buyers seeking a fast, refined offshore machine, the 31 is a standout choice.
