Boat Description
Regulator 34: Triple-Engine Offshore Muscle with Regulator Refinement
1. General Information
The Regulator 34 is a robust, powerful and highly respected offshore centre console that became a favourite among serious bluewater anglers. Measuring 10.31 m with a broad 3.33 m beam (almost 12 m including the bracket and engines), it was typically powered by triple Yamaha F300 outboards, delivering a top speed of around 53 knots and an efficient cruise of about 31 knots. A 1,325 L fuel tank gives impressive range of up to around 400 miles, opening up distant canyons and offshore grounds. Below the console, a stand-up head and a berth for two add genuine comfort for long days and early starts, while generous seating and storage make the boat equally suitable for family outings.
2. Construction and Design
Regulator built the 34 on its proven deep-V fibreglass hull with a fibreglass grillage system, giving the strength and solidity the brand is renowned for. With a dry weight of about 6,010 kg including power, the boat has the mass to deliver a smooth, confident ride through offshore chop. A fibreglass T-top with an integrated wraparound windscreen protects the helm, which was designed around large multifunction displays and a factory-installed Garmin electronics package. An optional Seakeeper 2 gyro stabiliser and Yamaha Helm Master EX further enhanced comfort and handling.
3. Key Features
Triple Yamaha F300 power: Three 300 hp outboards provide redundancy, strong acceleration and a top speed of around 53 knots; twin 425s were also offered.
Long offshore range: A 1,325 L fuel capacity supports runs of up to roughly 400 miles at an efficient cruise.
Serious fishing layout: A 159 L transom livewell, transom fishbox and large in-deck fishbox are complemented by forward insulated storage boxes.
Console accommodation: A stand-up head and a berth for two make overnight tournaments and long days far more comfortable.
Optional stabilisation: An available Seakeeper 2 gyro reduces roll at rest, ideal when drifting or bottom fishing offshore.
4. Summary
The Regulator 34 is aimed at experienced offshore and tournament anglers who want triple-engine power, long range and Regulator's famous build quality in a manageable centre console. It suits owners who run far offshore, value redundancy and a smooth ride, and appreciate comfort features such as a stand-up head and a berth. Now available on the pre-owned market, the 34 remains a highly sought-after choice for buyers seeking a proven bluewater fishing machine.
