Boat Description
Regulator 34SS: A Distinctive Offshore Console with Cabin Comfort
1. General Information
The Regulator 34SS, built from 2010 to 2021, is a rugged, distinctive and highly regarded offshore centre console. The “SS” stands for Starboard Seating: instead of a conventional walkaround bow, a large lounge wraps around the starboard side forward of the console. This clever layout frees up space for an enlarged console cabin with a mini-galley, microwave, sink with pull-out shower and a twin-size berth that extends under the foredeck – ideal for long tournament days and overnight trips. With a 3.33 m beam, a 1,438 L fuel tank and twin Yamaha F350 outboards giving close to 45 knots (or triple 300s reaching the low to mid 50s), it is equally at home running to the canyons or hosting family and friends.
2. Construction and Design
The 34SS rides on a solid fibreglass deep-V hull with a flared bow and 24° of deadrise aft, delivering the soft, dry ride in rough water that has made Regulator a byword for offshore performance. Weighing around 5,040 kg with engines, the boat feels planted and secure at speed. An Armstrong outboard bracket keeps the cockpit clear; it was strengthened in 2015 to carry triple 300 hp outboards. Recessed bow rails, pop-up cleats, a transom door and a fold-away rear seat show the brand's attention to detail and finish.
3. Key Features
Starboard bow seating: A wraparound lounge on the starboard side offers generous, comfortable seating for family and guests.
Enlarged console cabin: A mini-galley with microwave, sink with shower and a twin-size berth add rare comfort for a centre console.
Deep-V offshore hull: A 24° deadrise and flared bow keep the ride soft and dry far offshore.
Serious fishing equipment: A transom livewell, leaning post with livewell, transom and forward fishboxes, rod storage and a bait-prep station keep anglers well equipped.
Long range: A 1,438 L fuel capacity supports long runs to distant offshore grounds.
4. Summary
The Regulator 34SS suits offshore anglers and families who want genuine bluewater capability combined with more comfort below deck than a typical centre console offers. Its starboard lounge and cabin with galley and berth make it ideal for long tournament days, overnight trips and social cruising, while the proven deep-V hull delivers Regulator's trademark ride. On the pre-owned market it remains a sought-after choice for buyers who value versatility and build quality.
