2018 Southern Wind SW96 Seatius

The award winning SW96 SEATIUS yacht is the second model in the SW96 mini-series. She represents the dream of an owner who wants to sail around the world with speed and safety with a relatively short-handed crew most of the time.

SW96 Seatius yacht’s hull has full waterlines and straight end diagonals, a wide, low transom and full forward sections, which, together with a fixed bowsprit, a Cariboni lifting keel (3.4-5.5m) and a twin rudder configuration, make her easy to sail and control in any sea conditions. The uncluttered sightlines of the SW96 Seatius yacht’s Raised Saloon blend a sleek coachroof with high ceilings and light which floods into the interior through panoramic windows and hull portlights.

As per all SWS yachts, SW96 Seatius yacht guest cockpit is separate and independent of the maneuvering cockpit for privacy and safety on board. A corridor with minimal level changes connects the maneuvering cockpit and the guest area for easy and safe circulation when cruising. Seatius’ deck hardware was optimized for easy sailing in all conditions and includes longitudinal jib tracks, hydraulic cars, and Cariboni Magic Trim for the mainsail amongst many other features.

SW96 Seatius yacht feature Southern Wind’s owner cabin forward layout with two comfortable guest cabins amidships and crew quarters and galley aft. Her main saloon is a light, bright open space where eight to ten people can relax on couches or at the dining table. The volumes of a fourth cabin are devoted to a comfortable TV area with an extra lounging sofa. SW96 Seatius yacht won the Best Interior Design Sailing Yachts award at the prestigious 2019 Boat International Design and Innovation Awards. Nauta Design succeeded in perfectly translating the owners’ taste with the help of the interior designer Jeroen Machielsen from Studio Hermanides for the decoration.
