Boat Description
Valhalla Boatworks V-33: Compact Offshore Muscle with Viking DNA
1. General Information
The Valhalla Boatworks V-33 is the most approachable member of Viking Yachts' V-Series of outboard centre consoles. Introduced in 2019, this 10-metre twin-outboard fishing boat blends the build quality of a world-renowned sportfishing yard with a size that is easy to handle, trailer-friendly in spirit and manageable on the water. Independent tests have recorded top speeds in the low-to-mid 50-knot range, while a 1,238-litre fuel capacity gives a generous cruising range for bluewater runs.
The V-33 is a dedicated day boat. A compact console houses an electric freshwater head, a vanity with sink and a retractable shower wand, so family outings feel civilised. The ideal owner is an angler who wants a serious offshore platform for trolling, jigging and bottom fishing, but who also values weekend cruising, swimming stops and easy docking, especially with joystick control.
2. Construction and Design
The V-33 rides on Michael Peters' patented Stepped-V Ventilated Tunnel hull, refined with the Viking design and engineering team. Air drawn beneath the stepped running surface reduces friction, while the tunnel's vertical walls behave like keels to keep her tracking true and cornering confidently. A 24-degree deadrise at the transom helps her cut through chop with a soft, dry ride.
Her fibreglass construction features a resin-infused structural stringer grid and liner. On deck, clear sightlines, twin rows of helm seating, dry storage, USB charging and easy access behind the helm make long days comfortable, while electronic power-assist steering, Zip-Wake trim control, colour-coded wiring and Bocatech switching reflect a yacht-grade approach to systems.
3. Key Features
Stepped-V Ventilated Tunnel hull: Lower drag, strong stability and responsive handling make the V-33 efficient and engaging at cruising and top speeds alike.
Fishing-ready cockpit: A 197-litre transom live well, insulated fish boxes and numerous options for rod holders, outriggers and a rocket launcher keep every kind of angling covered.
Seakeeper-ready: An integrated mounting structure allows a Seakeeper SK 2 gyro stabiliser to be fitted for calmer drifting and trolling.
Flexible twin-outboard power: Choose Mercury Verado V10 425, Verado V8 300 or Yamaha F350 engines, with Mercury JPO or Yamaha Helm Master joystick control for effortless manoeuvring.
4. Summary
The Valhalla Boatworks V-33 suits anglers and families who want Viking-grade quality in a smaller, more manageable package. It rewards owners who enjoy tailoring a boat, from seating layouts to fishing options, and delivers genuine offshore capability for tournaments, canyon runs and relaxed coastal cruising alike.
