Boat Description

Valhalla Boatworks V-41: Flagship Power for Serious Bluewater Anglers

1. General Information

The Valhalla Boatworks V-41 is the flagship of Viking Yachts' outboard-powered V-Series and a statement of intent for tournament-level fishing. Measuring 12.3 metres on the hull and more than 13 metres with the engines down, this triple- or quad-outboard centre console combines blistering speed with the stamina for long offshore runs. A magazine test with quad Mercury Verado 400s recorded a top speed of around 63 knots, while 2,108 litres of fuel capacity keep distant canyons and wrecks within reach.

Built as a fast day boat, the V-41 is designed around its 360-degree fishing deck, but it is no spartan fishing tool. The console provides a head with shower and generous headroom, an aft mezzanine seat gives guests a comfortable place to ride, and an optional anchor windlass, bow thruster and joystick docking make handling a boat of this size surprisingly relaxed. The ideal owner is a bluewater or tournament angler who wants a semi-custom, high-end centre console that also works as a fast sport cruiser or luxury yacht tender.

2. Construction and Design

Developed by Viking's design and engineering team with Michael Peters Yacht Design, the V-41 rides on a Stepped-V Ventilated Tunnel running surface. The double-stepped hull with a centreline tunnel reduces drag and wetted surface, while the tunnel's vertical strakes act like keels for tracking and cornering stability. A 24-degree transom deadrise supports a smooth, confident ride when conditions turn rough.

The hull is moulded in fibreglass composite with foam coring and a resin-infused structural stringer grid and moulded liner, reflecting the yard's sportfishing-yacht pedigree. Aluminium fuel tanks, careful wire routing and yacht-grade systems underline the engineering focus. Options such as Palm Beach Towers hardtops and gap towers allow owners to tailor the V-41 to tournament work.

3. Key Features

Stepped-V Ventilated Tunnel hull: A Michael Peters design that delivers high speed, efficient cruising and stable, predictable handling offshore.

Tournament-ready fishing deck: A 341-litre transom live well, insulated fish boxes and optional additional live wells keep the cockpit organised and productive.

Up to 1,800 hp of outboard power: Triple or quad Mercury Verado and triple Yamaha XTO packages are available, with joystick control from Mercury or Yamaha.

Long-range capability: With 2,108 litres of fuel and 185 litres of fresh water, the V-41 can run well offshore and stay out for a full day.

4. Summary

The Valhalla Boatworks V-41 is aimed at passionate offshore and tournament anglers who want the performance, range and build quality of a Viking in an outboard centre console. It also appeals to owners who value speed, comfort and customisation, whether chasing marlin at distant canyons or serving as the fastest tender in the fleet.
